GPEC 2019 Digital (General Police Equipment Conference)
On the 13th and 14th of March 2019, the Chief of State Police Forensic Department Bureau of Expertise took part in conference/exhibition about police equipment GPEC 2019 Digital (General Police Equipment Conference).
The main goal of visiting GPEC 2019 Digital was to get acquainted with the newest tendencies in specialized technologies, software and various accessories that are used every day by police and experts- criminalists.
Multiple companies were presented at the GPEC 2019 Digital, that are specialised in the making of specialised technologies and software used in forensics, as well as in other IT solutions set for other purposes.
On the GPEC exhibition the Chief of Bureau of Expertise was actively communicating with the representatives of multiple companies, whose products would be suitable for the State Police Forensic Departments experts (for both- Bureau of Expertise and Regional Bureau). Most of the products, that were paid attention to, did not make any doubts about the quality, safety and the usage of innovative technologies.
The necessary information was acquired during GPEC about the newest solutions, that are suitable for the fields of operation of the State Police Forensic Department, that are involved in continuous development of Technologies and methods, that is, the field of information Technologies, as well as, other fields that are starting to use different solutions that are connected to information Technologies.
Also, representatives of companies whose software is well known and already has been used, were met in GPEC, and multiple aspects, that arose while using their product, were discussed.
Also, general information about products and technical solutions for law enforcement institutions was acquired.
Multiple agreements were made with companies to possibly test and/or present their products in more detail online, that would allow to reassess the declared benefits of the manufacturer more clearly, velocity and quality. The testing of the products will be provided by the State Police Forensic Department experts and the results will be evaluated from two sides, that is, the necessity of the solution in Bureau of Expertise and Regional Bureau experts work and/or the necessity in other structural units of the State Police.
